MENTONE – Nicole Leshawn Mikel, 17, rural Etna Green, died the morning of Nov. 13, 2014, at her residence. She was born April 23, 1997, in Warsaw, to Rick and Heather Sauer Mikel. She was a senior at Tippecanoe Valley High School. She was a longtime volunteer at The Magical Meadows Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center, Warsaw. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Fort Wayne. She was also a member of the National Honor Society. She loved animals, drawing and was a self-taught keyboard player. Surviving are her parents, Etna Green; a sister, Amber Mikel, Etna Green; grandparents, Dave and Wanda Mikel, Etna Green, and Ed and Sherry Sauer, Warsaw; and great-grandmother Deloris Senff, Bourbon. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Michael Green of the Primitive Baptist Church officiating.
