MARION - Nancy J. Bonham, 78, died at 10:05 p.m. June 2, 2009, at Marion General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 16, 1930, in Marion, the daughter of the late Paul and Goldie Swope Harter. On Aug. 16, 1957, she married Forrest Eugene Bonham. Her husband of 48 years preceded her in death on June 1, 2006.

She was a 1948 graduate of Marion High School and a homemaker.

Surviving are a son, Tom Bonham, Marion; six daughters: Brenda (and spouse Robert) Lewelling, Knoxville, Tenn.; Linda S. (and spouse John) Gist, Lemoore, Calif.; Pat (and spouse Don) Kearney and Marla (and spouse Michael) Velasquez, all of Marion; and Linda J. Drielick and Stephanie L. Cox (and Kenneth Linton), all of Warsaw; a sister, Lois Stimax, Upland; 19 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons, John William and Michael G. Bonham; a grandson, John Minnick; a sister, Linda Sue Beck; and a brother, William Harter.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, with the Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will be at a later date in Marion National Cemetery.
