Mary Ellen Stillson, 82, passed away at 5:53 a.m. May 9, 2016, in Miller's Merry Manor Rehab, Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Monroe Township, to Ralph Fisher and Helen Bernice Norris Boggs. On Dec. 14, 1952, in Packerton, she married William “Bill” Stillson, who survives in Warsaw. They were married 63 years.
She is a 1951 Sidney High School graduate and a Warsaw and lifetime Kosciusko County resident. She was an inspector for Whitley Products, Pierceton. She loved horses and was known for her sugar cream pie. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed family get-togethers. She was a former member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susan (and spouse Randy) Shepherd and Sandy Stillson, all of Warsaw; two grandchildren: Andy (and spouse Stephanie) Shepherd and Jeff (and spouse Jenny) Shepherd, all of Warsaw; five great-grandchildren: Sean, Shane, Abbi, Isabelle and Eli Shepherd, at home; two brothers, Don (and spouse Carolyn) Boggs, Larwill, and Kenneth (and spouse Freda) Boggs, South Whitley; many nieces and nephews; and a lifelong best friend, Elsie Faye Hoppus, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by parents and a brother, John H. Boggs.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Jarboe, Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
