MILFORD – Marilyn J. Brown, 88, Milford, went home to be with the Lord April 20, 2016, at home.
She was born May 17, 1927, in Chicago, to Royce V. and Alyce E. Talbot Fuller. On Oct. 16, 1949, she married Robert Brown, who survives in Milford. They were married 66 years.
She graduated with the class of 1945 from Milford High School and went on to graduate from Indiana University, where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority.
As a devoted wife and mother, she always felt her role in life was to stay at home and raise their five children together. Her activities revolved around her church and her family. She was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church for 76 years. She served on the board of directors of Bashor Home in Goshen for 16 years, filling the office of president for two years.
She also will be missed by four sons: Daniel F. (and spouse Nilah) Brown and Douglas (and spouse Jodi) Brown, all of Milford; David (and spouse Melba) Brown, Peachtree, Ga.; Andrew (and spouse Kathy) Brown, Syracuse; a daughter, Rebecca (and spouse Ted) Alles, Milford; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial is at Milford Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
