ROCHESTER – Margaret Merle M. Wilson Smith, 94, died Jan. 28, 2012, in her daughter’s residence in Rochester.
She was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Kewanna, to John L. “Bummer” and Amy E. Wiley Wilson. On May 31, 1986, she married Herb Smith, who preceded her in death.
In 1936 she graduated from Kewanna High School.
Surviving are two daughters, Elaine Snyder, Fort Wayne, and Jane (and spouse Steve) Shriver, Rochester; a son, Steve (and spouse Lisa) Smith, Sedgwick, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons, a granddaughter, a great-grandson and a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Maurice Grindle officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
