MENTONE – Lois I. Hunter, 85, Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Mentone, died at 9:24 p.m. May 28, 2015, at Wedgewood Assisted Living Facility, Mansfield, Ohio.
She was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Kosciusko County, to Cloice and Trella Flenar Baum, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 27, 1949, she married Charles L. Hunter, who survives in Ohio.
She was a bookkeeper and a homemaker and was a graduate of Mentone High School. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Mentone. She enjoyed reading the Bible and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rebecca (and spouse Gary) Thomas, Ontario, Ohio; a son, Mark (and spouse Deb) Hunter, Saginaw, Mich.; a sister, Frances (and spouse Firman) Sensibaugh, Franklin, Va.; two brothers, Doyle (and spouse Melia) Baum, Granger, and Royal (and spouse Fran) Baum, Mentone; five grandchildren: Kristine Thomas and Kendra (and spouse Jeremy) Ingle, all of Marysville, Ohio; Kasey (and spouse Jim) Rader, Mansfield, Ohio;  Shane (and spouse Abby) Hunter, Marlette, Mich., and Heather Hunter, Saginaw, Mich.; 12 great-grandchildren: Peyton, Emily and Garrett Ingle, Calah, Grace, Marlea, Joyanna and Elijah Rader, and Gabby, Zoey, Eliot and Finlee Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Baum; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Calah Rader
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with speaker James Rader officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery
Calling is from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
