Karen Sue Ogden, 46, Warsaw, and formerly of Rushville, passed away at 5:02 a.m. Jan. 9, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 3, 1967, in Indianapolis, to Roy and Roxie Earnest Edwards. On June 13, 1992, in Rushville, she married John Ogden, who survives.
Living most of her life in Rushville, she moved to Warsaw in 2001. She worked for Check In To Cash, Warsaw, and then Zimmer Inc., Warsaw. She was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw.
She was very much involved in her children’s activities and was a member of the PTO. She was an avid sports fan, especially football, watching every Sunday and Monday. She was a strong witness of her faith, even sharing her faith with her caregivers while they provided care for her. She was also known as “Mama Ogden” to many of the children who were in her life.
Also surviving are her daughter, Kearston Ogden, Warsaw; a son Colin Ogden, Warsaw; her mother, Roxie Waggoner, Warsaw; a sister, Sharon Edwards, Warsaw; and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her father; her stepfather, Ron Waggoner; her brother, Scott Edwards; and her niece.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Tom Newhouse officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
