GOSHEN – June M. Beck, 84, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 9, 2013, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. She was born June 4, 1929, in Elkhart, to John and Libbie Cooper Christophel. On Aug. 18, 1951, in Middlebury, she married Charles D. Beck, who preceded her in death June 12, 1994, in Elkhart. She was a former member of the Elkhart Genealogical Society and a former charter member of the Mother of Twins Club. She was a member of the Forkes Mennonite Church in Goshen. She enjoyed collecting dolls and sewing. Surviving are five children: David Beck, Bruce (and spouse Mary) Beck, all of Elkhart; Michael (and spouse Elizabeth) Beck, Ruth (and spouse Michael) Dilling, all of Warsaw; and Margaret Watts of Goshen; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ellen Bechtel, Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and one great-grandson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, with her cousin, Pastor Nelda Risden, officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery. Calling is one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
