June D. John, 83, Crooked Lake, Angola, and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Nov. 27, 2015, at her home. She was born June 19, 1932, in Fort Wayne, to Charles and Alma Siefert Ormerod. She attended Concordia Lutheran High School. She was a member of Lake George Lutheran Chapel, Fremont, and the Auburn Elks Lodge. She enjoyed playing euchre, her Monday Lunch Brunch, going to Auntie V’s, her family and church. She formerly worked at Angola Ford, Lehman Electronics and for a trucking company as a bookkeeper. Survivors include a son, Michael (and spouse Mary Lou) Gavin, Warsaw; a daughter, Cheryl Rankin, Tow, Texas; two grandchildren, Ben Gavin, Palm Harbor, Fla., and Molly (and spouse Matt) Schumaker, Zionsville; a great-grandchild, Jack Edward Schumaker; a sister, Joetta Zimmer, Corona, Calif.; and a brother, Phil Ormerod, El Prado, N.M. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Ormerod. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lake George Lutheran Chapel with the Rev. David A. Easterday officating. Burial will be at Concordia Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Calling is one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church, and a celebration of her life will immediately follow the service.
