Josephine Edith Clingenpeel, 100, of Warsaw, died at 3:42 a.m. Oct. 1, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born Nov. 30, 1909, in Alexandria, to Joseph and Edith Noel Jones. On Nov. 4, 1933, she married Harold "Jerry" Clingenpeel, who preceded her in death.

A longtime Warsaw resident, she was a cook for Miller's Merry Manor for 17 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and past president of the Eagle Auxiliary. She loved to read.

Surviving are two sons, Stephen Clingenpeel and Joe (and spouse Carolyn) Clingenpeel, all of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, two grandchildren and a daughter, Sue Rockwell.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Sue Partin officiating.

Calling is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
