Jimmie Allen, 80, of Fort Wayne, died at 8:35 p.m. Dec. 12, 2010, in The Waters of Summit City, Fort Wayne.
He was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Salyersville, Ky., to Woods and Delphie Allen. In 1972, in Salyersville, he married Dottie Conley, who preceded him in death.
Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he was a truck driver for Big Boy Products, Warsaw, for 17 years and was a member of First United Baptist Church, Pierceton.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Mae (and spouse Robert Lee) Scott, Tippecanoe, and Pauline (and spouse John) Vegar, Warsaw; three sons: Nero (and spouse Linda) Allen, Warsaw; Monroe (and spouse Pauley) Allen, Claypool; and Lonzo (and spouse Sadie) Allen, Kenton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a son and two daughters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Baptist Church, Pierceton, with Ward Etsie Allen officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
