James B. Benson Jr., 74, of Claypool, passed away at 9 a.m. June 10, 2013, in his residence. He was born Oct. 4, 1938, in Mishawaka, to James and Goldie Klietz Benson Sr. Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he worked at Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, for 30 years and then drove a semi for 10 years. He enjoyed watching sports and was a big Notre Dame fan. He was also a very generous and giving person. Surviving are three daughters: Chris Benson Sampson, Logansport; Vicky Benson Peterla, Warsaw; and Nikki (and spouse Rob) Rose, Claypool; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; an aunt; a nephew; a niece; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Burial will be at a later date.
