Jack Thomas Free, 80, died June 24, 2012 in Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle, Pa., with his wife and family by his side.
He was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Carlisle, to Bradford M. and Helen Wetzel Free. He married Gloriadean Albright Free, known to him as Deanie, who survives. She was a loving and devoted wife.
He was a dedicated “telephone” man, a devoted husband and family man, taking his role as the family patriarch very seriously. He was a provider and protector to all generations when needed. He was a good friend to many and a man known for his hospitality and helpful nature. He enjoyed golf and fly fishing and served nine years on the Florida State Golf Association.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jody A. Free, Carlisle; two sons: Tabb T. (and spouse Diane) Free, Biglerville, and Brad W. Free (and fiance Terre Sarach), Mt. Holly; three grandchildren: Shelley J. (and spouse Ronnie) Eichelberger, and Sean R. (and spouse Carisa) Free, all of Carlisle; Lennon M. Free, Biglerville; a brother-in-law, Ronald L. Albright, Hanover, Pa.; three nephews; one niece; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Free.
