SYRACUSE - Jack Maule, 78, of Barbee Lake, passed away July 13, 2010, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Richmond, to William and Virginia Maule. On April 4, 1953, he married Joyce Rexroad, who died in 2007.
He lived in this area since 1976, coming from Louisville, Ky. He graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He purchased the Barbee Hardware in 1976, and operated it until going in to the real estate business, where he was co-owner of Pier 13 Realty. He was a lifetime Kiwanis member and a member of Lakeland Kiwanis, North Webster United Methodist Church and North Webster American Legion Post 253. He was an avid golfer and boater.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff (and spouse Naomi) Maule, Syracuse, and Jon Maule (and fiance Carol Buchanan), North Webster; four grandchildren, Jessie Lea, Tyler Stuart and William and Chelsea; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at North Webster United Methodist Church with Pastor David Smitley officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition, with military honors.
