NORTH MANCHESTER – Harold R. Walters, 83, North Manchester, died at 1:38 p.m. Dec. 27, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born May 12, 1931, in Ligonier, to Sherwin and Ruby Cornelius Walters. He was a self-employed brick layer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He was a member of the Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake. Surviving are three sons: Tim Walters, Silver Lake; Jeff (and spouse Julie) Walters, North Manchester; and Jack (and spouse Tina) Walters, Goshen; six daughters: Jodi (and spouse Jason) Barrett, Jenny (and spouse Tim) Taylor and Joyce Walters, all of North Manchester; Kelli (and spouse Jamie) Stroud, Roann; Patty (and spouse Travis) Coburn, Sidney; Janet Walters, Tampa Bay, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eel River Church of the Brethren, Ind. 14, Silver Lake, with the Rev. Dan Riccius officiating. Burial is in South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake.
