GriefShare Program Offered To Local Community

Posted

Community members who have experienced  the death of a family member or friend are invited to register for the GriefShare program held at LifeTouch Ministries and Counseling.
This nondenominational program features Christ-centered, Biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts with real-life stories of people, followed by a group discussion about what was seen on the DVD, according to a news release from LifeTouch Ministries.
Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Past participants have related how helpful the information and follow-up discussions were to them, according to the release.
No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling, stated the release. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief. You will learn information about facing a new normal and renewing your hope for the future, stated the release. Grief-related books/materials are made available for participants to borrow.
The first GriefShare meeting will be held Sunday starting Aug. 20 through Nov. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Meetings will be at LifeTouch Ministries and Counseling, 2510 E. Center St., Warsaw.
To register or for questions, call 574-265-4698 or 514-265-5294. Child care is not available.
