NORTH MANCHESTER – Florrie “Chris” Caldwell Sears, 95, formerly of the Silver Lake and Claypool area, died Aug. 19, 2011.
She was born March 18, 1916, in Silver Lake, to Leroy W. and Anna Jaques Caldwell. She married George M. Sears, who died.
She was a 1934 graduate of Silver Lake High School, a member of Indiana Organic Growers and Indiana Wildlife Artists.
Surviving are three sons; one sister, Anita Hamaker; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, with Pastor Evelyn Taylor-Haney officiating.
McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
