Donald Nelson Holloway, 79, of Bourbon, died at 3:20 a.m. June 22, 2010, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Aug. 24, 1930, in Warsaw, to Elmer and Evelyn Duff Holloway, who preceded him in death. In October 1983, he married Sylvia Montague Grindle, who survives.

Living in Bourbon since coming from Akron in 1988, he was plant manager and furniture designer for Flare Design Limited, retiring in 1992, and also worked at Kofabco, Peru, and Arnold Corp., Warsaw.

He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather who walked with the Lord. He was a member of New Life Christian Church, Warsaw. He participated in Woodcraft Shows, was a race car driver at Warsaw Speedway and was an outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter.

Also surviving are a son, Edson Holloway, Yelm, Wash.; three daughters: Cheryl Holloway (and spouse Joel) Crist, Peru; Donna Holloway (and spouse David) Shafer, Logansport; and Teresa Holloway (D. L. "Mike" Jr.) Tomlinson, Cortland, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Janice Grindle (and spouse Lyle) Enyeart, Claypool; and 15 grandchildren: Daniel Holloway, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Caleb Holloway, Puyallaup, Wash.; Erika Cordill, Angela Shafer McMinn and Alicia Shafer Dowling, all of Logansport; Derik Cordill, North Manchester; Nathan Crist, Peru; Andrew Shafer and Ashlee Shafer Sellers, all of Austin, Texas; Adrienne Tomlinson Rawl, Dayton, Ohio; Paige Tomlinson Miller, Girard, Ohio; Tony Enyeart, Warsaw; Mindy Enyeart Klein, Plainfield, Ill.; Jeanene Grindle Walls, North Webster; and Jim Bob Grindle, Warsaw; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a spouse, Phyllis Grindle Holloway; a brother, Luther Holloway, and a sister, Josephine Holloway Leiter.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at New Life Christian Church, 744 S. CR 325E, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor John B. Lowe of the church. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
