BOURBON – Dennis L. Hepler, 55, Bourbon, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 13, 2014, at his residence. He was born Feb. 16, 1959, in Bremen, to Larry and Mildred Kay White Hepler. He graduated from Triton High School in 1977. He had been employed as a pressman, printing newspapers, most recently the Chicago Tribune and earlier in Stockton, Calif. He had been a resident of Bourbon the past several years. He was a member of the Bourbon American Legion #424, a biker club in Stockton and Web Pressmen & Prepress Workers Union Local 4N of Stockton. He was a U.S. veteran, having served in the Army from Sept. 30, 1977, to Oct. 1, 1981. Surviving are his mother, Kay (and spouse Frank) Furfaro, Mishawaka; three sisters: Pastor Lois (and spouse Ron) Cannon, Columbia City; Cindy Cortez and Sherri Hepler, both of Katy, Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father. Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday with military honors prior to services at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
