Mentone UMC To Celebrate
All Saints Sunday
MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Methodist Church on Sunday for worship at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Miller will present the message “Grace from the Deep.” The scripture is Jonah Chapter 2. It is All Saints Sunday. they will be honoring the saints. It is also Communion Sunday.
Stop by for trunk-and-treat on Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Enjoy mini corn dogs along with treats of all kinds.
There is a place at the table for you at the MUMC Friends breakfast on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Women’s Bible Study is held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Holiday Choir practice is at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
Join the church for Feast & Fellowship on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A casual light meal is provided along with fellowship, music, study and fun. All are welcome. Feast & Fellowship will follow the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation school calendar.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month.

Eastway To Present Message
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Life After Death" from 2 Corinthians 12:1-9. They will celebrate Holy Communion.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study meets the second and fourth Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Burket Bible women will meet on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Burket Lifewise classes are Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Praise practice is Tuesdays at 4 p.m. The Burket women will have a bake sale on Saturday at the church at 3 p.m.

Claypool UMC To Celebrate
All Saints Day Sunday
CLAYPOOL – The large group of kids walking from school to 302 E. Section St. on Thursdays are the SPARCS. They have snack, search the scriptures and fun.
Friday, downtown Claypool they will have their trunk-and-treat for the kids from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, the church will celebrate All Saints Day with an extra hour of sleep. Bible study starts at 9:30 a.m. for all ages and fellowship gathering is at 10:10 a.m. Worship hour begins at 10:30 a.m. as Pastor Diane Quance speaks from Timothy 4: 6-8, sermon is titled “Finishing the Race.” The children will have kids church during the sermon. Worship hour can be seen on Facebook at Claypool UMC, Indiana.
The devotional group continues to meet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays followed by Praise team practice at 5:30 p.m.
The women will be putting their aprons on preparing for the church’s harvest dinner on Nov. 7. They will be serving turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, vegetables, salad rolls, drink and dessert from 4 until 7 p.m. It is completely free or whatever you feel like donating.

Banning Concludes Sermon Series
ATWOOD – Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning concluded his message series on Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts with a message inspired by Corinthians 13:1-7. In last Sunday’s installment titled “Deploy Your Gifts in Love,” he emphasized people are called to use their gifts by serving first and foremost with love; without love, it is not really ministry. One of his examples focused on the love demonstrated by the church family for one another.
Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., Sisterhood in Faith will host trick-or-treat for area children in the Fellowship Hall. There will be coffee, hot chocolate, cider and doughnuts available for adults, too. Nearby Atwood Fire Department will also be hosting trick-or-treat for the children at the same time. Both are safe places for your children to participate in this year’s Halloween trick-or-treat. Rumor has it that some neighborhood homes will also welcome the children.

To Hold Services
Pastor Joe Lloyd welcomes the community this week to his study in I Kings. Learn how God worked in the lives of His people years ago just as He can work in people’s lives today.
Many things are planned for this Sunday. Services open at 9 a.m. Sunday school. There will be a lesson from Pastor Larry Overstreet. Services are at 10:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. and there will be a prayer meeting.
On Wednesday, there will be a lesson from Pastor David Mitchell.
