Miller To Present Message
MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Methodist Church on Sunday for worship at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Miller will present the message “When God Interrupts Our Plans.” The scripture is Jonah 1:1-17.
Trunk-and-treat will be going on Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Enjoy mini corn dogs and water along with treats of all kinds.
Join the church for Feast & Fellowship on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A casual light meal is provided along with fellowship, music, study and fun. All are welcome. Feast & Fellowship will follow the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation school calendar.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month.

Warsaw Trinity UMC To
Hold Events This Week
All are welcome to join Trinity United Methodist Church for events, Sunday school and worship. Contact the church office with questions.
On Sunday at 9 a.m., adult Sunday school will meet. They have two classes to choose from and coffee and tea are available prior to, and after Sunday School.
At 10 a.m. on Sunday is worship. Join the church for singing, reading scripture and a message from Pastor Andrea Kennedy, “How Shall We Pray,” based on Luke 18:9-14.
At 1:30 p.m. Monday, the Yarn-A-Little crafting group will meet. Bring whatever work in progress you have that travels. They are not limited to yarn alone. They have folks quilting, cross-stitching and a myriad of other things. At 7 p.m., Scout Troop 715 meets.
At 4 p.m. Wednesday, RISE Teen recovery, a partnership with Living In Transition Effectively ministries, will meet.
On Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., there will be trunk-n-treat. The church’s parking lot will be open for community trick-or-treaters. Come fill your bag from gathered trunks. We will also have a free hot dog and hot chocolate for the first 50 costumed children. Popcorn will also be available. Stay and dance a while to some spooky tunes in the lot.

To Hold Events This Week
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee (formerly Java Jacks) in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Saturday, Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is reserved from 1 to 3 p.m.
On Sunday, worship is at 9 a.m. and 10:31 a.m. with coffee refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m. It is birthday recognition Sunday. There is a youth meeting after church.
On Wednesday, the King’s Kids program is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-olds to fifth grade.
On Oct. 31, the church is reserved for a wedding.
Burket Bible To Hold Services
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Generation Z" from Jeremiah 29:10-14.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study will meet Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m. Burket Lifewise classes are Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
SPARC Group Meets Today
CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church is blessed with school-age children attending SPARC on Thursdays at 4 until 5:30 p.m.
Claypool UMC would be blessed with your attendance on Sundays for studies at 9:30 a.m., fellowship at 10:10 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.
On Sunday, Eric Shafer from Warsaw First United Methodist Church will bring the message “Curious not Critical” from Luke 18: 9-14.
The administrative board will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m.
The devotional group continues to invite anyone to join them on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
Praise team will be practicing at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The trunks are getting filled for Oct. 31 downtown Claypool from 6 until 7:30 p.m.
The plans are being finalized for the Harvest Dinner to be held on Nov. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Banning Continues Sermon Series
ATWOOD – Last Sunday, Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning continued his message series on Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts. After reminding the congregation that each of them has a gift given by God, he encouraged each person to actively look for opportunities to use their spiritual gifts.
Sisterhood in Faith will host their annual Community Fun Night on Oct. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atwood Community Building, and all are invited to attend. There will be euchre, games and snacks and everyone is welcome.
On Oct. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. the church congregation will host trick-or-treat for area children in the Fellowship Hall. There will be coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts available for adults, too. Nearby Atwood Fire Department will also be hosting trick-or-treat for the children at the same time.

Gospel Hill To Hold Breakfast
SILVER LAKE – Gospel Hill, 303 S. Jefferson St., Siler Lake, will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu is biscuits and gravy, sausage and bacon, eggs, friend apples and fried potatoes.
Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for those aged 3 to 9. Those aged 2 and under are free.
Clunette UM Church To Host Trunk-Or-Treat And Fall Party Wednesday
LEESBURG – Clunette United Methodist Church will once again hold their annual trunk-or-treat and fall party on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. They'll have lots of trunks handing out candy to trick or treaters, food, games, hayrides, costume contest and more.
