Yoder To Present Message
MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Methodist Church on Sunday for worship at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Yoder will present the message, “Increase Our Faith.” The scripture is Luke 17:5-10. Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy, the district superintendent, will be joining the church in worship.
October is Pastor Appreciation Month.
Come and enjoy breakfast with the MUMC Friends at Egg Town Coffee on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
Mentone United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a fall festival Oct. 11 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. It is for grades K-8. There will be a scavenger hunt, games, prizes, goodie bags and a snack. All activities are inside.
Join them for Feast & Fellowship on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A casual light meal is provided along with fellowship, music, study and fun. All are welcome. Feast & Fellowship will follow the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation school calendar.

To Hold Events This Week
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee (formerly Java Jacks) in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Saturday, the Clay Pigeon Shoot at the Harrold Family Range is at 1:30 p.m.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 9 a.m. and 10:31 a.m. with coffee refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m. A fellowship lunch is after church.
On Monday, the worship committee meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Choir practice is at 6 p.m. The Wheels on Fire meeting is at 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, the King’s Kids program from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-olds to fifth grade.
On Oct. 10 and 11, the church is reserved for a wedding. The Wheels on Fire food booth will be at the Echoes of the Past Fall Fest from 4 to 9 p.m.

Burket Bible To Hold Services
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "A Man of Power and Authority" from Mark 1:21-28. They will celebrate Holy Communion.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study meets the second and fourth Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Burket Bible women will meet on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Burket Lifewise classes are Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m. The Burket women will have a bake sale on Saturday at the church at 3 p.m.

SPARC To Meet Today
CLAYPOOL – The SPARC group will gather after school on Thursday until 5:30 p.m. They have room for more school-aged children.
Claypool United Methodist Church would love to have you join them at 105 Church St. for Bible lessons on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and fellowship at 10:10 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Diane Quance will be speaking on 2 Timothy 1: 6-10 “Fan into Flame.” Communion will be served and is open to all that wish to meet at the Lord’s table Sunday. The worship hour can viewed on Facebook at Claypool CUMC, Indiana.
The Women in Faith will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
The devotional group that meets on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. would enjoy your company.
The praise team practices is at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

First Baptist To Hold Revival
PIERCETON – First Baptist Church of Pierceton invites the public to attend revival meetings with evangelist Mike Patterson Oct. 12-15.
Patterson lived a life of crime, being in and out of prison repeatedly until God got ahold of his life.
Service times will be Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. First Baptist Church is at 208 W. Market St., Pierceton.

North Webster Church Of The Brethren To Hold Fish Fry
NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Church of the Brethren, 7281 E. CR 600N, North Webster, will hold a fish fry from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
The menu is Alaskan pollock, bake beans, potato salad or cole slaw and dessert. Cost is $15 per dinner and an extra piece of fish is $2 per piece.

Aldersgate UMC To Hold Block Party
ATWOOD – On Saturday, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 105 E. Hovey St., Atwood, will present their Free Block Party and Movie Night, featuring free food, music, bounce house, activities out in the parking lot and then a showing of the movie “Zooptopia” inside the Fellowship Hall.
On Sunday at their 10:30 a.m. worship service, Pastor Mike Beezley will kick off their new sermon series "Faith's Greatest Mysteries" with a look at the Ark of the Covenant.
