Beaver Dam Community Church
To Hold Worship Services
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee (formerly Java Jacks) in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 9 a.m. and 10:31 a.m. with coffee refreshments served from 10 it 10:30 a.m. It is September birthday recognition.
On Wednesday, the King’s Kids program is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-olds to fifth grade.
On Oct. 4, the Clay Pigeon Shoot at the Harrold Family Range is at 1:30 p.m.

Yoder To Present Message
MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Church on Sunday for worship at 10:15 a.m. We continue the sermon series “Redeeming Love.” Pastor Dana Yoder will present the message “From Nobody to Somebody: God’s Redeeming Work.” The scripture is Ruth Chapter 4.
Join them for Feast & Fellowship on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A casual light meal is provided along with fellowship, music, study and fun. All are welcome! (Feast & Fellowship will follow the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation school calendar.)
All are welcome at Mentone United Methodist Church. They offer an early bird adult Sunday school class at 9 a.m. before worship service at 10:15 a.m.

Eastway To Present Message
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made" from Psalm 139:13-18. Gary Kuhn will provide music.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m. Burket Lifewise classes are Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Warsaw Trinity UMC To Hold
Events This Week
All are welcome to join Trinity United Methodist Church for their events, Sunday school and worship. Contact the church office with questions.
They are still waiting on repairs on their lift. They will be having all events upstairs on the sanctuary level. If you don’t do stairs, come in the red doors that face Center Street, you can park along the drive there.
On Sunday at 9 a.m., adult Sunday school will meet. There are two classes to choose from and coffee and tea are available prior to and after Sunday school. At 10 a.m. is worship. Join the church for singing, reading scripture and a message from Pastor Andrea Kennedy, “I Wanna Be Rich,” based on Luke 16:19-31
On Monday at 1:30 p.m., the Yarn-A-Little crafting group will meet. Bring whatever work in progress you have that travels. The group is not limited to yarn alone. They have folks quilting, cross-stitching and a myriad of other things. At 7 p.m., Scout Troop #715 is back.
On Wednesday at 4 p.m., RISE Teen recovery, a partnership with Living in Transition Effectively ministries, will meet.

Quance To Continue Sermon Series
CLAYPOOL – The SPARC kids walk from Claypool Elementary on Thursday after school for food, fun, fellowship and Bible lessons. Their time is with Keith Priser as he also encourage manners, kindness and respect.
Bible lessons for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays. Snacks can be enjoyed during fellowship time at 10:10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when starting worship hour. Pastor Diane Quance will continue her series from first Timothy 6:6-12. “What are you going after?” The children have kids church during the sermon. On Monday, the staff parish will meet at 6:30 p.m.
The devotional group gathers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays with praise team practice following at 5:30 p.m.
The bake sale held at the Lions fish fry was a success and the church wants to thank all those that purchased an item.

Banning Continues Sermon Series
ATWOOD – Atwood Otterbein Church Pastor David Banning continued his message series last Sunday, sharing what it means to be faithful servants of all God has entrusted to us. Last week he focused on managing financial resources.
Sisterhood in Faith’s fourth annual chili cook-off was a success last Saturday evening. Guests selected their favorites for hottest (Bryan Lenfestey), wweetest (Jackie Banning), most unique (Kristian Eicher – by 1 vote over his wife’s entry) and best overall (Jackie Banning). The Sisterhood in Faith bake sale polished off the evening. The evening’s proceeds benefit the Sisterhood in Faith’s local missions.
The Sisterhood in Faith drawing was held last Saturday evening for the two quilts made and donated by Judy Whitinger. Winners were Beverly Huffman and Rita Anglin.

‘Meet Me At The Pole’ Held At Manchester High School
NORTH MANCHESTER – Wednesday was the 35th annual “Meet Me At The Pole” prayer event in the United States. Ten students and 10 youth leaders/educators met together at the Manchester High School flag pole to pray for the school, fellow students and a renewal of Christian faith for the Manchester student community and throughout the nation. The student-led prayer began in small groups at 7:45 a.m., then moved to the circle prayer. Everyone enjoyed doughnuts, and five students came late and received a prayer blessing.
