MENTONE - Cara Lyn Tucker, 69, of 7348 S. Ind. 19, Mentone, died at 9:30 p.m. March 30, 2008, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
She was born Jan. 5, 1939, in Kosciusko County, to Walter and Eileen A. Mollenhour Fenstermaker. On June 5, 1960, in Etna Green, she married Charles M. Tucker, who died May 6, 2001.
A lifetime area resident, she was an Etna Green High School graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, serving on many committees, United Methodist Women and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was former director of the Order of the Eastern Stars, a board member of the Kosciusko Community Foundation, a former 4-H Club leader and an active 4-H mother and grandmother.
Surviving are two sons, Chad M. (and spouse Lisa) Tucker, Mentone, and Chan O. (and spouse Nicole) Tucker, Mentone; a daughter, Cheri (and spouse Andy) Mikesell, Zionsville; seven grandchildren: Charles, Bethany, Karis, Sarah and Luke Tucker and Logan and Brenden Mikesell; her mother-in-law, Mary Tucker Bucher, Mentone; a sister-in-law, JoAnn (and spouse Michael) Williams, Atwood. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Fenstermaker; her mother, Eileen Mollenhour Fenstermaker Koenig; and her stepfather, Ped Koenig.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, Akron, with the Rev. Butch Troke officiating. A remembrance place will be at Mentone Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.
