C. Craig Doran, 60, passed away at 2:06 p.m. Feb. 28, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Jan. 5, 1955, in Warsaw, to Byron C. and JoAnn Cole Doran. On Oct. 10, 2009, in Cocoa Beach, Fla., he married Linda Decker Owens, who survives in Burket. He was a 1973 graduate of Mentone High School and a 1977 graduate of Butler University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, and he was owner of Warsaw Black Oxide, Burket. He was kind and generous, always positive and enjoyed the simple things in life. He had attended 52 Indianapolis 500 races. He loved playing golf and fishing. He was an avid Colts, Bears, White Sox and Notre Dame football fan. He will be greatly missed by many. Also surviving are a stepson, Alex Owens, West Lafayette; a brother, Dr. Chris (and spouse Diane) Doran, Winona Lake; a brother-in-law, Miguel Canda, Miami, Fla.; and a niece, Mattie Doran, Winona Lake. He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Doran, who died Aug. 6, 1999; his mother, JoAnn Doran, who died May 18, 2011; and a sister, Lisa Canda, who died March 23, 2012.
