COLUMBIA CITY - Brenda Kay Gawthrop, 62, of Columbia City, died at 7:45 a.m. July 30, 2007, in her residence.
She was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Fort Wayne, to George Lewis and Nola Maxine Herron Jones. On Dec. 4, 1960, in Columbia City, she married Fred A. Gawthrop, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, including Randy Gawthrop, South Whitley; a daughter; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor George Reser officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
