NAPPANEE – Bernhard E. “Ben” Strohbehn, 89, Nappanee, died Jan. 8, 2015. He was born Feb. 5, 1925, in New Plymouth, Idaho, to Ed and Josie Strohbehn. In 1943, he married Dorothy Knight, who died in 1946. In 1951, in Dodgeville, Wis., he married Lorraine Evans, who survives in Nappanee. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a navigator on a B-29, and served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Services were at 11 a.m. today at Bible Baptist Church, Wakarusa, with Pastors David Harper and Charles R. Phelps officiating. Burial was in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, with military graveside services by Nappanee American Legion.
