Berna Dean Weed, 72, of 3185 Old Colony Road, Warsaw, died at 8 a.m. July 12, 2007, in her residence.
She was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Warsaw, to Glen Francis and Edna Ruth Sands Sensibaugh. On Jan. 8, 1955, she married Loyal Warren Weed, who died Dec. 1, 1996.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a Mentone High School graduate. She was a nurse's aide at Murphy Medical Center and Kosciusko Community Hospital, and co-owned Weed and Sons. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, and a 40-year member of the Euchre Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Ronda Weed, Warsaw; four sons, Rod (and wife Pamela) Weed, Oregon City, Ore.; and Rick (and wife Susan) Weed, Russ (and wife Lisa) Weed and Roby Weed, all of Warsaw; a sister, Ethel Bolinger; a brother, Furman Sensibaugh; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Sensibaugh.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Joel Currey officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
