NAPPANEE - Alda M. Slabaugh, 89, of 12681 N. CR 400W, Milford, died at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 31, 2007, in her residence.
She was born May 27, 1918, in Bremen, to Abraham and Fannie Schmucker Farmwald. On Jan. 14, 1939, in Bremen, she married Elmer Slabaugh, who died Oct. 23, 2003.
She attended Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Lou (and spouse LeRoy) Hochstetler, Milford; three sons, Richard Lee (and spouse Ada) Slabaugh, Nappanee, and Allen Ray (and spouse Ellen) Slabaugh and Lyle (and spouse Barbara Ann) Slabaugh, both of Milford; 16 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three grandsons, three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Floyd Helmuth residence, 3703 W. CR 1400N, with Bishop Melvin Hostetler officiating, assisted by Home Ministry. Burial will be in West Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is all day today at the Lyle Slabaugh residence, 3701 W. CR 1350N.
