Hill Honored As NCCAA National Player Of The Week WINONA LAKE – Alexa Hill was honored for an outstanding week as the NCCAA National Player of the Week for Grace College’s volleyball team on Monday.

NORTH MANCHESTER – Mark Adkins, Manchester University sports information director, is returning to his roots in the upper Midwest. He has accepted the SID job at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, and will leave Manchester in early October. His replacement has not yet been named.

KENDALLVILLE – Manchester High School's Kelsey Eichenauer missed qualifying for the state finals by one stroke. Wawasee's Belle Brunner was two shots shy of advancing.

The Indiana High School Athletic Association released the sectional pairings Sunday for boys and girls varsity soccer. The soccer state tournaments begin Oct. 1 and end with the state finals on Oct. 27.

NEW HAVEN – Spencer Hare placed fifth to lead the Wawasee boys cross country team to a second place finish out of 16 teams in the “AA” division at Saturday’s New Haven Invitational.
