Irene Gaynelle Davis, 99, Warsaw, passed away at 1:08 p.m. Feb. 18, 2018, in Lake City Place, Warsaw. She was born Oct. 6, 1918, to Ernest and Hazel Ellis Shively, in Burket. Irene was a 1937 graduate of Claypool High School. On Dec. 23, 1939, Irene married Roy Max Davis in Indianapolis. They had three children during their 53-year marriage. Irene was a housewife during the years that her children were in school. Irene and Max then moved to Warsaw in 1976. She was employed by Warsaw Community Schools as a cook for 10 years before her retirement.
June “Carol” Nice, 78, New Paris, formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born June 15, 1939, in Plymouth, to Sylvester Ivan and Hazel Laura Carlow Aman. Carol was a former resident of Lakeville; Gautier, Miss.; Warsaw; and New Paris. She was united in marriage to Dennis Nice in Plymouth in 1992. She served as a nurse for St. Joseph Hospital, Plymouth, and Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed cross-stitching and needlework, was a gardener, and loved working outdoors and traveling.
Charles F. Conrad, 90, Fort Wayne, formerly of North Manchester, died at 2:50 a.m. Feb. 19, 2018, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester. He was born July 17, 1927, in Peru, to Joseph and Cora Holstein Conrad. He was married to Mary M. Blackwell on May 23, 1952. She died June 10, 1992.

Bernard A. "Ben" Muzzillo, 87, of Winona Lake, formerly of Wabash, died at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Grace Village in Winona Lake. He was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Garrett, to Paul and Rosina DeRose Muzzillo. Ben was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Garrett. He married Margaret E. "Peg" Smith in Garrett on Dec. 17, 1950. He retired from GenCorp in Wabash on Jan. 1, 1991, after 39 years.
Sandra Irene Frush, 78, Warsaw, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born June 1, 1939, in Warsaw, to Clarence James and Irene Rhoades Salman. On June 1, 1958, in Pierceton, she married Earl Burkett Frush, who died Feb. 21, 2011.
Former Rochester resident Donnie L. Ehlinger, 65, Knox, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at his residence. On July 5, 1952, in Rochester, Donnie Lee Ehlinger was born. He was the son of Harland "Bud" and Peggy Lou Hunter Ehlinger. In Knox on June 24, 2003, he married Betty Jane Napier, who survives.
Linda Mae Hathaway, of Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake, formerly a longtime resident of rural Claypool, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Grace Village Health Care at the age of 76. She was born on Jan. 9, 1942, in Goshen, to Charles Walker Smoker and Mary Kathryn Kline Smoker. On June 1, 1960, she married Perry Ray Hathaway, who survives.
Allen Jay Carey, 48, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, in his residence. He was born on June 2, 1969, in Whitley County, to Rodney Carey and Yolanda Pruitt Kuta. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County and was employed as a security officer at numerous places. He also worked at Beers Amusement. He attended many different churches around the community during his life. He was an avid video game player, especially World of War Craft. In addition, he enjoyed scuba diving, and loved being around friends, family and his grandkids.
Ruth L. Ridgway, 101, of Grace Village Assisted Living, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in Kosciusko Community Hospital. Ruth was born the daughter of William and Bernice Goshert Rush on July 27, 1916, at Olkmulgee, Okla. On Nov. 25, 1937, she married Thurman Ridgway; he preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1992. Ruth enjoyed volunteering and graduated from Mentone High School.
