Letters To The Editor

Editor, Times-Union:It’s hard to believe as to just how and to what lengths some people will do or go to get elected to a public office. First there was the Kasich-Cruz fiasco, now we have Cruz-Fiorina. Is there no conscience or what lows Mr. Cruz will stoop to in order to get elected to be president?

Editor, Times-Union:On Monday afternoon, while I was at the McClure gas station north of Silver Lake, I found a set keys next to Ind. 15.

- Plant A Row - No Recognition - Immigration Plant A Row Editor, Times-Union: Plant A Row, or PAR, was formed when a garden writer challenged his readers to plant an extra row for the hungry. My 4-H club, the Milford Successful 4-Hers, decided to participate in this program to help out our community. Combined Community Services and Our Father's House have helped our community greatly; they still need help filling their shelves.PAR can help. Both CCS and Our Father's House have expressed interest in obtaining fresh produce. If you keep a garden, all you have to do is plant an extra row of vegetables (root vegetables stay fresh longer), and donate the harvest to your local food bank. It's that easy.

Editor, Times-Union:One Democratic party plan is to try to add state candidates to their fold.

Editor, Times-Union:I would like to see the parking time in downtown Warsaw increased from two hours to three-and-a-half hours.

Editor, Times-Union:Recently, I moved back to Warsaw. I am a widow on total disability with a very limited income.

Editor, Times-Union: In the ongoing saga of the CAFO lament, please tell our group what part of health and environmental risks do the CAFO advocates not understand. Should a group be allowed to knowingly set out to foul the land, air and water and cause illness and health hazards for the rural population? Should they be allowed to shut down a long established business?

Editor, Times-Union:All of this voting on this or that. What we need is God’s  kingdom – a government that will never be brought to ruin and that is run by a perfect ruler, Jesus Christ.

Editor, Times-Union:Have we now lost or losing our right to free speech here in this country? Worse yet, are we losing our right to say we are Christians?

Editor, Times-Union: As I sat watching the TV news this evening of 11/22, they had many different scenes of our “in my view a socialist minded” leader saying over and over, “Let the rich pay their fair share.”

Editor, Times-Union:Recently, a volunteer neighborhood watch member was involved in a shooting of a person of a protected class. All of a sudden it became a race issue across the country thanks to our half-arse corporate press.

Editor, Times-Union: Everywhere we go these days we hear, “I don’t know what is going on these days with all the confusion and turmoil.” If we read God’s Word, it should be no …

Editor, Times-Union: In response to Alan Kuta’s letter dated 11-25-11: In your letter you seemed to think I was leaving out my lady across the street when I said we pay high property taxes. Well that’s why it was stated “We.”

Editor, Times-Union:I was appalled when I opened the Times-Union on Monday, July 11 and saw the cartoon on the editorial page depicting President Obama with the hint of a monkey face, smoking a cigarette and slicing a picture of Uncle Sam in half with a bloody chain saw (CagleCartoons.com).

Editor, Times-Union:The May 5 primary will provide our community an opportunity to improve the education and safety of hundreds of Warsaw students.

Editor, Times-Union:I see the House Minority Whip Eric Cantor spoke against Rimbowl on the Hitler/Obama analogies. Really? What's the point?

Editor, Times-Union:Thank you, Times-Union, for your fair and balanced reporting.

Editor, Times-Union:The following is my seventh letter in my series of letters on the various positions that one’s government can have on religious liberties.

Editor, Times-Union:Life in times of Tom Metzger’s opinions.

Editor, Times-Union:As we approach Earth Week, here are some points to ponder:

Editor, Times-Union:I was unfortunately not surprised to see the relics of Indiana's violent racist past and present recounted in your News Views column this morning.

Editor, Times-Union:’Tis the season to be ramping up the rants, or so it seems from many of the letters in the local paper. Are the writers having a contest as to who can post the most outrageous of the outrage?

Editor, Times-Union:Everyone has a different view and opinion on the current war and about President Bush.

Editor, Times-Union:Some of us feel we are Christians but have stopped growing in our spiritual lives.
