Fair Share

Editor, Times-Union:
As I sat watching the TV news this evening of 11/22, they had many different scenes of our “in my view a socialist minded” leader saying over and over, “Let the rich pay their fair share.” What is their fair share in his view? Figures that I have seen time and time again lead me to believe they are doing so. Just because people are successful through hard work I don’t think they should be penalized by being asked to pay an unreal extra amount in taxes.

For some reason I always thought they, in many, many ways, were the ones who created and started businesses and companies and guess what, they hired people. I was under the impression that was the country’s problem, 9 percent unemployed. What has he done to help the problem? Saw or heard that since last April he has held an average of two fundraisers each week.  That calls for people to set up the mics, lights, food and what ever is needed for those “gimmy all you can spare meetings.” Don’t think this created jobs as it would be all volunteer work by his loyal mislead followers. Still needing jobs.
