Walter Rohr, 53, Warsaw, passed away at 12:26 a.m. March 13, 2015, in his residence. He lost the fight of his life to lung cancer with his loving family and dear friends by his side. He was born Jan. 16, 1962, in Pontiac. Mich., to Juanita Hannah Rohr Lilly, who survives. On Aug. 2, 1982, he married Mary Eileen Sparks, who survives. He served as an employee of Fairmont Homes, Liberty Homes and Forest River as a warranty technician from 1982 to 2011, and from 2011 to 2014 Forest River again employed him as a technician. In addition, he was a self-employed contractor since 1997, serving Kosciusko County and the City of Warsaw as a mechanic and groundskeeper for Oakwood Cemetery. He was known for always gladly lending a helping hand to friends and family. Also surviving are a son, Clayton Rohr, Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Jennifer (and spouse Kelly) Prater, Claypool; five grandchildren: Kylie and Wyatt Prater, Claypool; Ariana Rohr, Warsaw; Kadden and Kelich, North Webster; two sisters, Diane (and spouse Jerry) Anders, Texas; Doris (and spouse Wyane) Rohr, Kentucky; four brothers: Richard (and spouse Anna) Rohr, Tim (and spouse Barb), and Terry Rohr, all of Indiana; Ronald (and spouse Phil), Johnny (and spouse Sue), Jason (and spouse Sarah), all of Kentucky; 21 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Ashton Rohr; Katrine Rohr; and a stepfather, Simon Lilly. Services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Doug Lemon officiating. Interment will be private.
