SYRACUSE – Virginia M. “Marie” Snyder, 36, of Bourbon, died at 5:07 p.m. July 7, 2013, in Center for Hospice Care House, Elkhart. She was born July 21, 1976, in Chicago, Ill., to Kimberly S. Fultz. On July 2, 2007, in Plymouth, she married James E. Snyder, who survives. She attended George Washington High School, Chicago, and the University of Illinois. She moved to Bourbon from Chicago 12 years ago and formerly worked at Journey’s End Bar, Bourbon. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Bourbon, and formerly attended First Baptist Church, Hammond. Also surviving are four daughters: Cheyanna Sioux Marie Green and Mackenzy Jane Freels, both of Bourbon; Courtney Danielle Hickey, North Chicago, Ill.; and Shannon Suzanne Kienitz, Indianapolis; a son, Marcus Snyder, Bourbon; her mother, Kim Hack, Chicago; a sister, Brenda (and spouse Timothy) Jackson, Chicago; two brothers, Richard Hack and Gerald Wojtas, Chicago; and her former stepfather, Richard Wojtas, Chicago. No public services are planned.
