VA System

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

No one responded to my suggestion we work together to make the VA system our national health care system. I take that to mean that everyone must agree that the VA system would work.

Currently in Indiana, we have medical centers in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Marion. We have stand-alone outpatient clinics in Crown Point and Evansville. We have community outpatient clinics in Bloomington, Goshen, Greendale, Muncie, New Albany, Richmond, Scottsburg, South Bend, Terre Haute, Vincennes and West Lafayette. This is one state - Indiana. Overall, there is a total of 1,570 facilities available, including ones in the Philippines, Guam, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Write and call your Congressmen. Let them know this system can be modified and/or enlarged for much less money than the trillions of dollars being estimated now for a new system. The VA system can handle everyone uninsured.

Why re-invent the wheel?
