ROCHESTER – Steven “Stevie” Edward Duff, 49, Rochester, passed away at 7:02 p.m. March 25, 2014, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born July 18, 1964, in Rochester, to Steven “Duffy” R. and Donna Harper Duff. On July 1, 1989, at the Bourbon United Methodist Church, he married the love of his life with whom he shared 23 years of life’s adventures, Kristine K. Lemler, who sadly passed away Sept. 21, 2012. He attended Caston Schools for a number of years, but graduated with great Berry pride from Logansport High School in 1983. During his teen years he was active in 4-H. He enjoyed growing and arranging flowers and working on other projects to exhibit. He was also a member of the local Rural Youth Group, where he was introduced to his future soul mate. A friendly gentleman who never met a stranger, he loved hanging out with his buddies and socializing at the coffee table while solving the world's problems. He was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia, and cheered wildly for the Boilermakers of Purdue. Boiler up! He was a true animal lover. He especially treasured Captain, his canine companion, a brown and white Cocker Spaniel, who preceded him in death. Surviving are his parents, Donna Good and Steve Duff; a sister, Erin (and spouse Mike) Trusty, Rochester; two brothers, Keith (and spouse Tina) and Shane Duff, all of Rochester; a best buddy who was like a brother, Harold Moore and companion Nellie, LaPorte; an aunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be a sunset celebration of his life at 6 p.m. Monday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Pastor Jim Toole officiating. Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials to the Fulton County Humane Society Fund through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, 715 Main St., Rochester, IN 46975.
