KOKOMO - Ronald "Ron" Bohn Feller, 75, of Silver Lake, and formerly of Kokomo, died at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29, 2010, in his lake residence.
He was born Oct. 31, 1934, in Miami County, to Lester Leon and Lorena Bohn Feller. On Sept. 18, 1955, in Kokomo, he married Charlotte Chism, who survives.
He was a 1952 graduate of Kokomo High School and worked at Delco Electronics for 40 years, retiring as a general supervisor in 1992. He was a member of First Church of the Brethren. He had served in the Indiana National Guard for 16 years, achieving the rank of sergeant first class. In retirement he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He took special pride in teaching his grandchildren the art of fishing and boating.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rhonda (and spouse Mark) Sauder, Spencerville, and Stacey Lawhead, Kokomo; two sons, Tony (and spouse Jane) Feller, Bloomington, and Mark (and spouse Laura) Feller, Lafayette; a grandson who was raised in Ron's residence, Damian Feller (and his companion Jennifer and her son Jake Lucus) Claypool; grandchildren: Zach (and spouse Emily) Sauder, Craig Sauder, Kara (Ben) Ballinger, Wade (and spouse Jimele) Feller, Cody Feller, Korey Feller, Audrey Feller, Kami Sager (and companion Jeff Spidel), Sean (and spouse Elaine) Montgomery, Kayla Lawhead, Alexandria Lawhead, Braxton Lawhead, Ashlee Feller, Levi Feller; great-grandchildren: Ethan and Lilly Feller, Hunter Spidel, Anna and Jackson Sauder and Gannon Montgomery; a brother, Bob (and spouse Pauline) Feller, Kokomo; two sisters, Mary Jo (and spouse Joseph) Grant, South Bend, and Karen Youngman, Cave City, Ky.; his father-in-law, Art Chism; four sisters: Carol (and spouse Denny) Bowers, Cape Coral, Fla.; Christine Dykstra, Fishers; Iris Habener, Indianapolis; and Janet (and spouse Jerry) Hurlock, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kym Sager; his stepmother, Dorothy Chism; a sister and brother-in-law, Jan and J.B. Ferguson; sisters-in-law, Marsha Anderson and Carol Jewel; a niece, Roberta Moore; and nephews, Doug Feller and Bobby McKinley.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Paul Tinkel officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
