SYRACUSE - Robert F. Graff, 80, of Syracuse, passed away July 21, 2010, in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born June 8, 1930, in Crown Point, to Walter and Hazel Benner Graff. He married Patsy Jessup, who died in 2008.
He worked in construction for many years, including Buhrt Builders. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Korean War veteran. He enjoyed carpentry, art, poetry and history. He loved and served his country, took pleasure in his children and grandchildren and faithfully served his God.
Surviving are four daughters: Dawn (and spouse John) Nyikos; Abagail (and spouse Robert) Johnston; Susanna (and spouse James) Legner; and Esther (and spouse David) Terry; six sons: Douglas (and spouse Margaret) Graff; Timothy Graff; Robert (and spouse Susan) Graff; Stephen (and spouse Michelle) Graff; John Graff; and Benjamin Graff; 19 grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; a brother, Dennis Graff; and four sisters: Bonnie Johnson, Avis Gross, Miriam Orten and Delores Wheeler. He was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, with the Rev. Jim Legner officiating. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery with military honors.
