INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – Robert F. Briggs, 97, Independence, Ohio, passed away Sept. 9, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn F. Marsick, who preceded him in death. He was a loving father to his surviving children: daughter, Lori (and spouse Dr. Steve) Grossnickle, and son, Robert M. (and spouse Dottie) Briggs; five grandchildren: Brian (and spouse Hildy) Grossnickle; Erie (and spouse Alanna) Grossnickle; Katie Grossnickle; Shelley Briggs; and Robbie (and spouse Charlotte) Briggs; four great-grandchildren: Micaela and Katarina Grossnickle; and Walther and Ethan Briggs; niece Beverly Briggs; and other nieces and nephews. He was a dear friend of caregiver Stephen Manila and special friend of Greg Kurtz. Services will be at noon Saturday at Odrazka Funeral Home of Independence, Route 21 south of Rockside, Ohio.
