Robert E. Hobbs, 53, of Warsaw, died at 12:35 p.m. July 20, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Aug. 23, 1956, in Linton, to Ronald E. and Ella Mae Hall Hobbs. On Sept. 8, 1973, in Milford, he married Debra K. Plank, who died Aug. 17, 2008.
He worked at Zimmer for 35 years, attended Warsaw Community Church and was a member of Cruisin Hoosiers Car Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharla (and spouse Don) Music, Warsaw, and Shondell Hobbs (and spouse Rodney Puterbaugh), Fort Wayne; four grandchildren: Kelsie Music and David Heaton, both of Warsaw, and Trenton and Kassidy Puterbaugh, both of Fort Wayne; three sisters: Carolyn (and spouse Dave) Stockman, Warsaw; Penny Short, Lebanon; and Melinda (and spouse Randy) Martinez, Cibolo, Texas; three brothers: Ronald "Keith" (and spouse Sandra) Hobbs, Etna Green; Donnie (and spouse Christy) Hobbs, California; and Kevin (and spouse Lenn) Hobbs, Palestine; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Anthony Hobbs, and his parents.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Mike Kelly officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
