GOSHEN – Rickey Ren Fennell, 61, Bremen, who grew up in Brighton, died at 6:58 a.m. Sept. 16, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1953, in Sturgis, Mich., to Richard A. and Dorothy E. von Olnhousen Fennell. He married Kathy Geiger, who survives in Bremen. He was employed at Maple Leaf Farms and attended Word of Truth Ministries, both of Milford. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School, and an Eagle Scout with Brighton Boy Scout Troop. He loved the outdoors and his passions were hunting, fishing, camping, carpentry and gardening. He was also a NASCAR fan. Also surviving are, his children: Sarah (and spouse Andy) Wesselhoft, Elkhart; Stephanie (and spouse Ryan) Weldy, Goshen; Shane (and spouse Ashley) Fennell, Nappanee; four stepchildren: BJ (and spouse Andrea) Shell and Brandon and Brittany Santana, all of Bremen; and Beth Heather Shell, Syracuse; 13 grandchildren: Britnei, Payton, Benjamin, Greta, Madison, Dane, Grace, Macee, Grant, Cheyanne, Georgia, Rhenn and Evelyn; a sister, Pamela (and spouse Fred) Schultz, Granger; a brother, Charles (and spouse Wendy) Fennell, Warsaw; former spouse, Marcee Flora, Elkhart; and his mother, Dorothy Fennell, Lagrange. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Fennell, and twin brothers, Jan Eric and Jon Guy Fennell. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, with Pastor Mike Kelley, Word of Truth Ministries, officiating. Burial is in Bremen Cemetery.
