Rex Landy Freed, Montpelier, Ohio, and formerly of Sidney, died Nov. 6, 2011, in his residence.
He was born July 9, 1940, in Kosciusko County, to Glen and Fae Shaffer Freed. He married Darlene Ray, who survives.
He graduated from Sidney High School in May 1958.
Also surviving are a son, Mark (and Shari) Freed, Auburn; two daughters, Sherrie Freed, Montpelier, and Rhonda (and spouse Bob) Overlin, Lakeview, Mich.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Glenda Ray (and spouse James) Elliott, Silver Lake.
