Reginald 'Reggie' Hughey

Sergeant First Class Reginald “Reggie” Hughey died Jan. 21, 2013, in Lake Worth, Fla.
He was born Sept. 16, 1965, to Annie Smith. His wife, Amanda Whitney, survives. She was formerly of Warsaw.
He graduated from Cocoa High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1985. Over the next 13 years, his assignments were Fort Ord, Calif.; Germany; Fort Lewis, Washington; and South Korea. He left the U.S. Army in June and was then deployed to Tiknit, Iraq. He was later assigned as a recruiter for the Florida Army National Guard. He spent the last year working as a career counselor for the 260th Military Intelligence Ballard Armory, Miami, Fla.
Also surviving are a daughter, Hannah Nicole Hughey; and four brothers and three sisters, all of Florida.
Services with full military honors were at Palm Beach Memorial Chapel, Lake Worth. Burial was in South Florida National Veterans Cemetery, Fort Worth, Fla.
