NORTH WEBSTER - Priscilla "Faye" Gross, 78, of Leesburg, died at 8:57 a.m. July 21, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Hancock County, Ky., to Jasper L. and Mary Audeline Staples Pearson. On June 25, 1950, in North Webster, she married William L. "Bill" Gross, who died in 1989.
A lifetime Kosciusko County area resident, she graduated from North Webster High School in 1950, and later from Ravenscroft Beauty School, Fort Wayne. She was owner and operator of Faye's Beauty Salon, Oswego, for more than 40 years. She was a member of North Webster American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 for 61 years; Leesburg Travelers; served on the Oswego Cemetery Board for many years; and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, Leesburg.
Surviving are two daughters, Cindy Humes, Leesburg, and Sue (and spouse Tim) Simison, Warsaw; a son, Gary Gross, Warsaw; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth L. "Vonnie" Wiggs, Pierceton; and two brothers, John (and spouse Marge) Pearson, North Webster, and Ron "Red" (and spouse Liz) Pearson, Leesburg. She was preceded in death by a brother.
A private graveside service will be Monday at Oswego Cemetery.
