GREENVILLE, Ohio - Omer Powell, 74, of Union City, Ohio, died May 15, 2010, in Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville.
He was born Dec. 10, 1935, in Manchester, Ky., to Walter and Bessie Hornsby Powell. On Oct. 29, 1960, he married Pauline Lewis, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, including Dean (and spouse Sue Brown) Powell, Nappanee; Tony (and spouse Angie Jenkins) Powell, Leesburg; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and a sister. He was preceded in death by five siblings.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Paul Murdock officiating. Burial will be in Snell Cemetery, near Union City, Ohio.
