Neva Jeanette Gross, 98, Warsaw, passed away at 11:23 p.m. July 13, 2015, at Grace Village Assisted Living facility, Winona Lake. She was born May 24, 1917, in Old McDonald Hospital, Warsaw, to Earl and Katie Pearl Ropp Gross. She was the oldest of seven children. She was a lifetime Warsaw resident and the salutatorian of the 1936 graduating class of Warsaw High School. She was employed for four years each by Playtime Products, Atlas Steel and Tube; then for Sun Metal for 50 years as a production control clerk, retiring Dec. 2, 1996. She was a member of First Brethren Church and American Legion Auxiliary, where she had been a past president and for 40 years served as its secretary. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross; and enjoyed being a part of the Senior Citizens Center of Warsaw. She enjoyed reading and spending many enjoyable hours with her favorite books. Survivors are: four brothers: Lawrence (and spouse Athalia) Gross, Pierceton; Max Gross, Warsaw; Walter Gross, Ocean City, Calif.; and Paul (and spouse Shirley) Gross, Kansas City, Mo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and William Gross. Services will be at noon Friday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
