Naomi Ruth Jobe

Naomi Ruth Jobe, 98, of Sebring, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, died at 1 p.m. Nov. 19, 2009, at The Palms of Sebring, where she resided for several years.

She was born Aug. 11, 1911, to Emmett and Harriet Captolia-Wideman Clark. On April 19, 1947, she married Forrest "Pete" Jobe, who died April 27, 2000.

She resided in the Palestine area through young adulthood and graduated from Mentone High School. She was a member of the Calvary Church, Sebring.

In her young adulthood she was a telephone operator. During World War II, she served as a civilian operator with the U.S. Air Force at bases in New Jersey and Arizona. In later years she worked at Kimm Paint Co. She was active in the Warsaw American Legion Auxiliary, Kosciusko County Chorus and the Warsaw and Sebring Elks Clubs. She was an avid golfer, won many shuffleboard tournaments and loved bowling and travel.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and -nephews.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Sebring. Following cremation she will be interred at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Fla.
