MENTONE - Michael Eiser Sr., 80, of No. 6 Ind. 25, Mentone, died at 6:15 a.m. June 19, 2007, in his residence.
He was born March 3, 1927, in Macy, to Nicholas and Rosella Plettits Eiser. On March 18, 1950, in Blue Island, Ill., he married Joan L. Whetstone, who survives.
He was a polisher and buffer at General Electric, Cicero, Ill.; a member of Mentone United Methodist Church; and a World War II Army veteran, serving in the China Berma India Theater.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert A. (Linda) Hudson, Winona Lake; two sons, Michael Jr. (and wife Lisa) Eiser, Bourbon, and Mark (and wife Kimra) Eiser, Mentone; a brother, Nicholas Eiser, Round Lake, Ill.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Ellman, and two brothers, John and Anthony Eiser.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Doris Smith officiating. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Cemetery with graveside military rites.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
