CELINA, Ohio – Mary Belle Norris, 97, of Otterbein Senior Lifestyles Choices, St. Marys, Ohio, died at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 15, 2011.
She was born Dec. 29, 1913, in Kosciusko County, to James and Florence Stackhouse. On Oct. 18, 1932, she married Earl E. Norris, who died July 22, 1992.
She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper. She graduated from high school in Etna Green in 1932, and lived in Warsaw for 65 years before moving to Celina and then to Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices in 2004. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Celina, and formerly was a member of the United Methodist Women, Mercer County Senior Citizens, Warsaw First Baptist Church Women’s Group and Warsaw’s Mothers Study Group. She spent her summers at her cottage in Birchwood, Wis.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty (and spouse James) Phillips, Celina; two grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with the Rev. Carol Sainey officiating, and a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at Cisco Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home.
